Herbst Appliance

The Herbst Appliance is a tooth retained / friction grip mandibular repositioner that is very effective in the treatment of chronic snoring and mild to moderate sleep-disordered breathing (sleep apnea).

This appliance allows patients to move their jaws laterally (side to side) and vertically (open and close) without disengagement of the appliance. In addition, if it is determined that the initial jaw position does not provide the anticipated relief, the mandible (lower jaw) can easily be moved forward by adjusting the telescopic arms located on each side.

The Herbst appliance is FDA Approved for the treatment of snoring and mild to moderate sleep apnea.
